There are four Basic Command Units (BCUs) or Divisions, which are almost coterminous with the district councils of North East Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnerships (CDRPs) created following the introduction of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 also mirror these boundaries.
