Scunthorpe & District Choral Society has been established since 1881. It meets to rehearse on Thursday evenings from September to April at Frederick Gough School. Our repertoire ranges from Baroque to Modern and we perform with first-class soloists and orchestras. The society is affiliated to Making Music, which represents and supports amateur performing and promoting societies throughout the UK.

Scunthorpe water polo club uses the Riddings swimming pool, Scunthorpe, on Monday evenings between 8pm and 9.30pm to train and coach male and female players of all ages in techniques of exciting team water sport. St Andrew's Parish Church, Epworth, North Lincolnshire is a 12th Century church with strong connections with the Wesley Family. Reverend Samuel Wesley was the Rector here from 1695 to 1735 and his sons John, the founder of Methodism, and Charles a prolific hymn writer, were born in Epworth and baptized in the font in St Andrew's Church.

Street sport has been designed to actively encourage young people from the age of 8-18 to get involved in a variety of different sports ranging from football to sports like rock-it-ball and extreme golf. All street sport sessions are free and details of where the sessions are located can be found on the street sport website.
North Lincolnshire Council is hosting a Study Visit for Quality Integrated Early Years provision from 6 June - 11 June 2010. Between 9 and 15 participants will visit from different European countries. The participants will visit several children's centres and schools in North Lincolnshire to observe early years practitioners working with children aged 0-5 years.
